"Hampstead Heath #4", 2008, C-print from slide. The fall of twilight sees the dimming of logic, and our anxious, increased porosity to fantasy. In French, it is often termed 'entre chien et loup', between dog and wolf. This is paricularly poignant for Cruising Grounds, which undergo a transformation of employment as the light fades and the families disperse; an anaphor for the behavioural tides in the minds of the nocturnal visitors.
